TheAVI Ref. 765 reissue is offered in a limited series of 1,953 copies, each marked ” ONE OF 1953 “Tenacious and frighteningly clear in terms of reading, it faithfully reproduces the original with a 41.1 mm case, a hesalite dome glass and a 12-hour screwed bezel.
In the matt dial, we find the famous large Arabic numerals, with a SuperLuminova treatment applied by hand, whose color reminds the lining of the Co-pilot. They are accompanied by a 15-minute counter at 3 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock and a second counter at 9 o’clock, as well as fine hands, replicas of those of the first models.
At the heart of this Breitling, a B09 caliber. This COSC certified movement with manual winding was developed specifically for historical reissues of Breitling. It offers around 70 hours of power reserve. The tightness has been improved since this AVI can go up to 30 m.
Several versions of this vintage reissue are available. At the moment, only the steel model with black leather strap is available, but soon an 18-carat red gold model with black dial and brown leather strap will appear, offered in 253 copies, as well as a platinum model with blue dial and gold leather strap, only 153 available.
